Not merely a tranquil and peaceful place, Schilthorn is also an area to experience and enjoy the VIEW – breathtaking vistas, THRILL – adrenaline-fuelled experiences, CHILL – pure relaxation in enchanting mountain landscapes.

The cable car operated by Schilthorn Cableway Ltd. connects the Lauterbrunnen Valley from Stechelberg with the idyllically situated, car-free mountain villages of Gimmelwald and Mureen.

The ride alone is a thrilling experience, as the cabin climbs past thundering waterfalls, sheer rock faces, over lush meadows and craggy alpine landscapes; always accompanied by unimpeded views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site with the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.

James Bond’s iconic movie “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” was shot on the Schilthorn in 1969. Hence, the place also known as Piz Gloria, is attracting fans and visitors from all over the world.

Therefore, the world’s first 007 Walk of Fame was set there. This is a place where cast and crew members left their trace. Moreover, James Bond fans can also have the James Bond Brunch at the 360-degree restaurant. Each rotation takes 45 minutes and will glide past more than 200 mountain peaks. Even during busy period, your table is at your disposal for 90 minutes.

On the other hand, The Schilthorn Summit & Piz Gloria View Observation deck beckons visitors with unrivalled panoramic views. If you are looking for something adventurous, don’t miss the Skyline Walk Observation Deck and the Thrill Walk Cliff Path.
