The Eastern and Oriental Hotel is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Alison Fraser to the position of General Manager. In the 134 years since the E&O was established by the Sarkies brothers, the hotel is proud to have a lady general manager helm the social beacon of George Town for the first time.
Alison, a British national, comes from a wide and varied background in luxury hospitality and innovative lifestyle concepts, spanning three decades of experience in the United Kingdom, Middle East and Asia, in key positions with InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, London and in general management positions with GHM Hotels and Resorts in Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur and Bali.
Alison was past President of the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) in Kedah and Perlis from 2006 - 2010.
