Opened in 1973, Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa is the first deluxe hotel & resort located along the scenic Batu Ferringi Beach. With intricate Minangkabau roof, pristine blue sea, majestic rain trees and friendly service staff, Rasa Sayang secures its reputation as the top picked destination hotel.

After major redevelopment and reopening in 2006, the new Rasa Sayang is more exclusive. The number of rooms has been reduced from 512 to 304, offering more luxurious staycation experiences.

The hotel also debuts Malaysia first Chi, The Spa at Shangri-La, the hotel group’s signature Spa brand in 2006. Built around century-old tropical trees, Chi, The Spa has a 26-metres spa pool surrounded by lush greenery. In addition, The Spa has 11 private villas, individual treatments rooms, a yoga pavilion and personal bathing, hair treatment and relaxation areas.

Besides having a good stay and a pampering spa, don’t miss out the hotel’s award winning Ferringi Grill restaurant and Spice Market Café which offers a variety of international cuisines. Once you stay here, perhaps you will be like the hotel’s many regular re-visiting guests who chose to revisit and called this place a “home”.
