The Art & Soul of Hospitality Spaces

What kind of hotel truly wins the hearts of its guests? Some people value service, while others prioritise location — everyone has their own standards. For luxury hotels, however, what leaves a lasting impression is often more than just impressive hardware or amenities; it is the ability to create a complete and immersive experience. Beyond grand interiors, well-appointed facilities, and attentive hospitality, design plays an essential role. In addition to showcasing spatial aesthetics, great design conveys a brand’s spirit and cultural identity. Every detail — from material selection and lighting composition to visual storytelling and symbolic meaning — shapes whether guests can genuinely connect with the soul of a space.

Located on historic Wireless Road—once home to Thailand’s first radio telegraph station—Andaz One Bangkok enjoys a prestigious address at the intersection of heritage and modernity. Set beside Lumphini Park, the hotel features 244 guestrooms and suites, with interiors that are vibrant yet refined, where bold contemporary design meets an authentic Thai soul. It also offers sweeping views of the city’s most iconic green expanse, providing a tranquil counterpoint to the vibrant energy of downtown Bangkok.

Andaz One Bangkok forms part of One Bangkok, the city’s largest fully integrated district in the heart of the capital. This dynamic development brings together workplaces, retail destinations, luxury residences, hotels, art and cultural spaces, expansive greenery, and a world-class live entertainment arena. The property also marks the second Andaz-branded hotel in Thailand, complementing Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach.

Concept and Design

Andaz, derived from Hindi, signifies “personal style.” This philosophy of individuality and local connection is brought to life through a design deeply rooted in its surroundings, celebrating the stories of the Wireless Road neighbourhood alongside the dynamic rhythms of modern Bangkok. The hotel’s architecture is designed by A49, with interiors by PIA Interior. Piscari, the rooftop restaurant on the 23rd floor, features a dedicated design concept by Paradigm Shift—each of them proudly Thai firms.

Thailand’s leading interior design firm, PIA Interior, drew inspiration from the city’s vibrant streets and hidden sois (alleys), weaving Bangkok’s colours, textures, and creative energy into the hotel’s details. Reflecting the heritage and character of its locale, the property reinterprets local architecture, culture, and everyday life through a contemporary lens. Conceived as a “vertical neighbourhood,” Andaz One Bangkok mirrors the city’s diversity—each space revealing a new facet of Bangkok, much like wandering through its many sois.

Key design references include the Thai mid-century movement, expressed through the arches and curves of historic landmarks such as Vidyu Palace. Striking neighbourhood photography is showcased in corridors and guestrooms, while subtle touches—such as traditional Thai window grille elements and bespoke works by some of Thailand’s most celebrated female artists—infuse the spaces with warmth and identity.

The hotel embraces a contemporary design concept that maximises natural light and frames sweeping park views, creating an open and serene atmosphere. Offering a rare sense of tranquillity in the heart of the city, Andaz One Bangkok seamlessly balances vibrant urban energy with a feeling of retreat. Its distinctive modern exterior stands out on the skyline, while the interiors are thoughtfully designed to harmonise with the surrounding neighbourhood.

Piscari

Piscari is envisioned as a wooden yacht floating above Bangkok, set within the ambience of a Mediterranean Supper Club that captures the spirit of coastal living. The guest journey begins with a seaside cave-inspired entrance before opening into a lively central “piazza,” a gathering space that celebrates connection and life. Sand-toned interiors are thoughtfully paired with Thai textiles woven into the furniture, while wooden walls bring together Mediterranean vibes.

At the innermost corner, tucked behind a concealed wall, lies an intimate speakeasy offering a more secluded atmosphere. Inspired by the Blue Grotto, the space evokes the sensation of being beneath the sea, completing Piscari’s immersive journey from coast to cave and into the open waters above the city skyline.
