Overlooking the Mediterranean at Port Olímpic, Hotel Arts Barcelona welcomes the festive season with a programme designed for guests of all ages, bringing together family celebrations and a spectacular finale to 2026. Throughout December, Catalan traditions take centre stage. Each afternoon, the hotel will invite younger guests to experience the Tió de Nadal, a much-loved Catalan Christmas tradition in which children feed and sing to a magical log before discovering small gifts and sweets. Children will also receive a small Tió as part of the seasonal experience, while adults can enjoy a selection of torrons, traditional Catalan Christmas nougat.
The family programme continues throughout the Christmas period, with a series of festive activities for younger guests. On 24 December, children can take part in a cookie decoration workshop before the Tió finale, while Santa Claus will make special visits to guest rooms that evening, delivering gifts provided in advance by parents. Christmas Day brings a family Treasure Hunt, followed on 26 December by a gingerbread house decoration workshop.
The season culminates on 31 December with the Echoes of Nature New Year's Eve Gala, an immersive celebration inspired by nature as a creative force in art, architecture and design. Exploring ideas of movement, growth, balance and transformation, the evening brings together gastronomy, live entertainment and celebration against the backdrop of the Mediterranean. Guests will begin the evening with a welcome cocktail before taking their seats in the Gaudí Ballroom for a multi-course gala dinner with wine pairing. The celebration continues through the midnight countdown and traditional twelve lucky grapes, followed by a DJ set and open bar until 02:00, welcoming 2027. The creative direction of Echoes of Nature extends beyond the Gala itself, with the hotel's floral artist transforming the public areas with floral arrangements from the final weekend of November.
