Staying at Artyzen Singapore feels like slipping into a calm pocket of Orchard - close enough to the buzz of Singapore’s most famous shopping district yet tucked away on a quieter stretch that makes it feel like a luxury retreat. Artyzen blends thoughtful design, surprising touches, and a sense of modern lifestyle living that makes it stand out in the city’s crowded hotel scene. Whether you’re in town for shopping, business, or just a short city break, the balance between convenience and quiet is a real plus.

First Impressions & Welcome
The lobby is sleek without being intimidating - modern lines with warm touches that feel inviting rather than overdesigned. Even the lifts were a surprise. Instead of being purely functional, they have been turned into little art boxes, incorporating a Peranakan-inspired design by local artist Terence Tan. It is a subtle reminder that while Artyzen is part of Artyzen Hospitality Group, an international hotel management company headquartered in Hong Kong, the property is firmly rooted in Singapore’s heritage. Notably, it is the first Artyzen property outside of Greater China.
Waiting in the room was a little gesture that made me smile: spiced caramel popcorn and house-made Sino spice anchovies and peanuts, a thoughtful nod to Singapore’s food culture. For me, this kind of detail sets the tone; it tells you the hotel wants you to feel at home, not just checked in.

Room: Modern Comfort with Subtle Luxury
I stayed at the Premier Balcony King Room which is located on one of the high floors of the building. The room itself was spacious (48sqm), calm and well thought out. I loved how everything felt intuitive - like pressing one button and watching the curtains glide open to reveal Orchard’s skyline. The bathroom amenities are from the French brand Heeley, a subtle touch of European refinement.
Beyond the design, the in-room amenities were practical yet premium. A Dyson hairdryer sat neatly by the vanity, a B&O wireless Bluetooth speaker paired easily with my phone, and a Nespresso coffee machine was ready for a morning pick-me-up. I appreciated the use of Nordaq bottled water which aligns well with the hotel’s focus on modern, sustainable living.
Breakfast
Breakfast is often where hotels reveal their personality, and Artyzen takes a balanced approach with a semi-buffet and à la carte menu at its all-day dining restaurant, Café Quenino. The standout dish for me? A blue swimmer “chili crab” omelette. Generous, rich, and delicious – served with coconut basmati rice and house-made sweet and spicy chili sauce. While it was a little heavy for the early morning, it was memorable in the best way. It’s the kind of dish that makes you think, “I’d come back just for this.”

Facilities: Pool & Gym
Then, of course, there’s the pool. Perched on the rooftop, its transparent base lets you swim across while peeking down at Cusacaden Road below. For a moment, suspended above the city, I felt both a thrill and a strange sense of calm - like floating in my own little pocket of Singapore.
The gym, though I didn’t use it, looked kitted out with the latest equipment, which fitness-minded travelers would very much appreciate. Likewise for The Spa, which offers a wide range of treatments ranging from the signature Gemstone Odyssey treatment and bespoke Ageless Harmony ritual where guests can unwind and rejuvenate.

What Sets Artyzen Apart
One feature I found especially interesting is how certain corner rooms (such as the Two-Bedroom Terrace Suite) can be combined across two floors to create a sort of duplex. Imagine three rooms connected by a large open-air terrace surrounded by greenery, high above the city. It felt like a secret hideaway you could book with family or friends - a rarity in Singapore’s city hotels.
What struck me about Artyzen is that it isn’t trying to overwhelm you with opulence. Details like the welcome snacks, the clever “duplex family suite”, and the breakfast done right all add up to a stay that feels quietly confident.
It’s worth noting that Artyzen is part of a Chinese hotel group, but they’ve clearly gone the extra mile to align with international standards. Service was polished, amenities well-curated, and the overall vibe felt refreshingly lifestyle-driven rather than formulaic.
My one night at Artyzen Singapore left me with the impression of a hotel that knows exactly who it’s for. If you’re looking for a quieter base near Orchard, if you appreciate modern comforts without unnecessary fuss, and if you like your mornings to begin with a standout dish rather than a sprawling buffet, Artyzen Singapore fits the bill.
