Following the success of his award-winning travel book On a Journey with You 《一起旅行》, Anugerah Buku PNM 2020 winner, Malaysian photographer and travel writer Ling Doh Kin will publish his first photobook in December 2025.
Titled Komorebi — Stories of Light 《谁在缝隙里种光》, this distinctive photobook draws inspiration from light — the essence of photography — to showcase 24 travel moments from around the world. Beyond breathtaking landscapes, the photobook captures quiet moments of human connection — the small kindnesses from strangers met along the way. In a world often overshadowed by conflict and division（缝隙）, these glimpses of warmth and humanity（光）feel especially precious.
Komorebi — Stories of Light presents 24 travel stories in an innovative poster-book format. Each chapter unfolds into a B2 poster, featuring one striking hero visual as its centerpiece, accompanied by a short written reflection. Housed in a specially designed slipcase, this photobook blends evocative imagery with thoughtful storytelling, offering readers both a collectible art object and a design-driven publication.
The photobook spans a diverse range of destinations, including Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, the Faroe Islands, Türkiye, Hong Kong, Norway, Japan, New Zealand, Iran, Morocco, Mauritius, Senegal, Italy, Greece, Krygystan, Egypt, and Greenland.
