LobbyLobby

Just three stops from Tokyo Station via the JR Keiyō Line, Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel offers a refreshing alternative to the city’s high-octane pace. This art-infused property blends smart comfort, local convenience, and a quieter rhythm ideal for city-savvy travellers and families seeking a more serene Tokyo experience.

First Impressions & Welcome

Stepping into the lobby feels like entering a contemporary art gallery. Housed in a former postal station, the hotel’s design draws from its “post town by the water” concept, with art deco accents inspired by waterside vessels and ironwork pulleys. The check-in experience was swift and warm, and I was introduced to the amenity bar - a thoughtful touch that encourages sustainable and mindful use of toiletries, a common practice in Japanese hospitality that I found both practical and eco-conscious.

Twin Room with Bunk Bed

The Room

With 605 rooms ranging from the Superior Twin (29.7 m²) to the Deluxe Corner Twin (42.9 m²), the hotel caters to both solo travellers and families. Many rooms accommodate up to four guests, and the Twin Rooms with Bunk Beds are a clever solution for families who prefer not to share beds. All rooms feature a separate bath and Japanese-style toilet - a hallmark of comfort and privacy.

My Superior Twin Room offered a full-length window with tranquil city water views, a sliding door for added privacy, and a plush Simmons mattress. It felt more like settling into a stylish apartment than a transient hotel stay.

Breakfast at TIDE TABLE

Breakfast is served buffet-style at TIDE TABLE Restaurant on the first floor. The spread includes fresh pastries, Japanese staples, and international favourites - a satisfying start to any Tokyo adventure.

Facilities & Surroundings

After a morning of sightseeing, I appreciated the 24-hour gym - perfect for squeezing in a run before dinner. Later, the bathhouse “Ushio no Yu” with its sauna and warm soaking pools offered a rejuvenating retreat.  The hotel features a children’s playroom, nursing room, smoking room, and a 24-hour Family Mart — all within the building.

What Sets Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel Apart

Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel isn’t in Ginza or Shinjuku, and that’s precisely its charm. Located in a quieter residential area, it offers proximity to Tokyo’s vibrant core while providing a peaceful retreat. It’s also a strategic base for those heading to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea.

Just a two-minute walk from Shiomi Station, the hotel is surrounded by local conveniences. My favourite discovery? A supermarket right next door - convenient to pick up some local produce and snacks to bring back for family and friends.

For travellers who appreciate modern luxury, spacious rooms, and well-curated public spaces adorned with contemporary art, Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel delivers a refined yet relaxed Tokyo experience. With its thoughtful amenities, family-friendly options, and tranquil location, it’s a hidden gem that deserves a spot on your next Tokyo itinerary.
