A travelling exhibition from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu and Penang invites you to experience Taiwan through your five senses — and discover a gentle rhythm of healing along the way.
Healing can be found in the warmth of a spoonful of soup, or in the breeze at a street corner. It grows quietly through our five senses, unfolding into a landscape that belongs uniquely to you. Organised by Borderless Bureau ,supported by the Taiwan Tourism Administration Kuala Lumpur Office, “Taiwan with Five Senses 4: The Healing Journey” marks the fourth edition of the ongoing “Taiwan Five Senses” travel campaign — this year centering around the theme of healing.
The Kuala Lumpur edition was officially launched at Pingmin Hub, attended by Mr James Buu ,Deputy Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia (TECO Malaysia), Abe Chou Director of the Taiwan Tourism Administration Kuala Lumpur Office,Boarderless Bureau President Joseph Seow,Selangor Tourism CEO Chua Yee Ling and YB Wong Siew Kee. Running from 26 September to 5 October, the exhibition will take place over two weekends at Pingmin Hub before travelling to Kota Kinabalu and Penang, allowing more Malaysians to experience the unique charm of travelling in Taiwan.
Taiwan: More Than a Journey — A Deep Connection with the Land and Its People
James Buu shared that since its inception, the “Taiwan Five Senses” campaign has reached its fourth year, each time exploring a different theme to help Malaysians discover Taiwan from fresh perspectives.
“Last year’s theme, ‘Hidden Journeys’, unveiled Taiwan’s natural treasures and local cultures that often go unnoticed. This year, we focus on ‘The Healing Journey’, encouraging visitors to rediscover their inner peace and personal travel rhythm through mind-body experiences in Taiwan,” he said.
He added that “Taiwan is more than a destination — it’s a deep connection between people, land, and life.” The office will continue strengthening Taiwan–Malaysia collaboration in tourism and culture, creating more opportunities for exchange and inspiring Malaysians to experience Taiwan’s warmth and healing beauty firsthand.
According to Joseph Seow President of Borderless Bureau, “Taiwan with Five Senses” has become one of the longest-running Taiwan tourism campaigns blending travel and art.
“For us, curation is more than presentation — it’s an art of cultural communication,” he explained.
Miniature Taiwan: Capturing Authentic Moments of Everyday Life
The immersive showcase features two main highlights — ‘Taiwan Flavor Healing House’ and ‘Top 100 Taiwan Tourism Highlights’.
The first presents eight meticulously crafted miniature scenes that capture Taiwan’s everyday food culture — from bubble tea, stinky tofu, and fried chicken, to convenience store delights and indigenous mountain flavours — celebrating the island’s lifestyle philosophy and collective memories.
The second maps out 100 must-visit attractions across Taiwan’s 22 cities and counties, featuring scenic wonders, cultural heritage, gourmet discoveries, and hidden gems — taking visitors on a sensory journey from mountains to coasts, cities to villages, and inviting them to feel the heartfelt warmth of Taiwan.
During the event, visitors can participate in a social media giveaway by posting their photos and tagging #台灣五感4, @borderlessbureaumy, and @TaiwanTourismMY.
Those who register and check in at the venue will automatically enter the lucky draw, with more check-ins increasing their chances of winning.
Grand prizes include Taiwan homestay vouchers, EasyCard with NT$10,000 credit, self-drive tour experiences, and Plaza Premium Lounge passes, worth over RM20,000 in total — letting participants bring a piece of Taiwan home before their journey begins.
