Pt. Leo Estate

The wine regions in Melbourne, owing to their superior climate and soil conditions, produce a diverse range of high-quality fine wines. The local wineries not only offer wine tasting opportunities but also provide in-depth insights into the winemaking process.

The Pt. Leo Estate Winery Art Precinct is located on the southern edge of the Mornington Peninsula and provides wine tasting services. The Pinot Noir wine, which is rich in the aroma of berries and plums, has a subtle hint of herbal and oak notes. The “Estate Rosé”, also made from Pinot Noir, has a light fruity flavour and captivates people with its alluring salmon colour. In addition, this place also gathers internationally renowned art and design works.

The Whiskery

I would also like to recommend The Whiskery, which has been renovated from a farm shed. It is the wine tasting room of the Bellarine Winery and is also the first winery on the Bellarine Peninsula. The environment here is perfect for chatting with friends while sipping on cocktails, their homemade gin or whisky. Of course, there are also some local wines, beers, and ciders available. You can pair them with simple pizzas, as well as platters of cheese and agricultural products.

The World’s Longest Lunch

If you want to enjoy wine to your heart’s content, don’t miss “The World’s Longest Lunch”! This grand event has been held since 1993 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It has been more than 30 years now. The long table, which is over 600 meters long, winds through the magnificent Kings Domain in Melbourne. The ticket price includes selected wines from Tahbilk, beers from Bridge Road Brewers, still sparkling spring water from Capi, coffee from the local Melbourne brand ST. ALi, and more.
