Taiwan’s vast and captivating east coast is at times graceful, at times wild—sometimes mysterious, sometimes exuberant. The people who live along its shores are tranquil and free-spirited, simple and open-minded. Local artists draw inspiration from their surroundings, infusing the emotions awakened by the five senses into their creations. At the Taiwan East Coast Land Art Festival, an installation that mirrors the path of the sea or a melody etched with feeling coexist and complement one another.
The 2025 TEC Land Art Festival, themed "Becoming an Estuary," begins on June 21. It brings together prominent local and international artists and musicians, who will present residency art creation projects and "Moonlit Sea Concerts" to light up the height of summer.
As you journey along Taiwan’s east coast, you’ll hear the call of the mountains and sea, and in the wave of artistic expression, discover your own estuary—a place to flow outward.
