Rise above the city’s relentless hustle and retreat to a sanctuary among the clouds, where true luxury reveals itself in absolute peace and tranquillity.
At 6,000 feet above sea level, where the landscape unfolds in layers of mist-veiled peaks, Crockfords at Resorts World Genting offers a refined interpretation of the high-altitude escape.
As the pinnacle of hospitality at Resorts World Genting, Crockfords occupies a distinctive position within Malaysia’s luxury landscape. Its reputation is further underscored by a remarkable distinction: Crockfords has been recognised as Malaysia’s sole Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Hotel for eight consecutive years, from 2019 to 2026.
Its name draws inspiration from the legendary Crockford’s Club, established in London in 1828 by William Crockford, whose illustrious establishment became synonymous with exclusivity, sophistication and refined society.
Yet true luxury transcends accolades. Above the clouds, luxury takes on a new perspective.

Design and Sanctuary Above the Clouds
We always travel with our five-year-old daughter, and our stay at Crockfords has set a new gold standard for staycations in Malaysia, reaffirming the restorative power of travel.
Hotel guests can enjoy a dedicated limousine and chauffeur service, with pick-ups arranged from their homes or the airport in a luxury vehicle. Upon arrival, we were driven directly to Crockfords’ private porte-cochère, where the hotel team greeted us with refreshing wet towels and welcome drinks before escorting us straight to our suite for a seamless in-suite check-in.
The newly refreshed Crockfords Studio Suite, spanning approximately 540 sq ft, strikes an elegant balance between residential warmth and contemporary sophistication. Bespoke furnishings lend the space the intimacy of a private residence, while its generous proportions make it equally suited to a couple’s retreat or a sophisticated family escape.
Arrival is marked by a series of thoughtful gestures. A handwritten welcome note, sealed in a wax-stamped envelope, is accompanied by an arrangement of fresh fruit and artisanal desserts—a quietly personal introduction to the Crockfords experience. A defining privilege of the stay is the 24-hour butler service: discreet, intuitive, and attentive without ever becoming intrusive.
The suite itself reveals a masterclass in both craftsmanship and functionality. Among its distinctive details is a British-inspired vintage leather-and-wood trunk cabinet, which opens to reveal an elegantly organised wardrobe, ironing station, and luggage storage.
In the bathroom, bespoke Greek Calacatta marble fixtures, crafted exclusively for Crockfords, lend an unmistakable sense of refinement. A private steam bath offers a moment of quiet indulgence, while premium amenities—including a Nespresso machine and a Dyson hair dryer—bring a considered touch of modern convenience. Plush bathrobes and slippers are also thoughtfully provided in sizes for both adults and younger guests.
And then, there is the view. Framed by expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, the bed becomes perhaps the most enviable vantage point in the suite, overlooking the mountains as they emerge from the morning mist. On a clear day, sunrise becomes a private spectacle—one that requires nothing more than opening your eyes.

Sophistication, Curated for Every Generation
Travelling with a young child can be a revealing test of luxury hospitality. The question is not simply whether a hotel accommodates families, but whether it can do so without compromising its sense of refinement.
Crockfords manages this balance with remarkable ease. Prior to our arrival, an extra bed had been thoughtfully arranged and set up in our suite. Our five-year-old daughter was greeted with her own welcome bag, complete with puzzles, games, and an exclusive Crockfords bear, while child-sized bathrobes and slippers added another considerate touch to her stay. These gestures may appear modest, but they speak to a far more nuanced understanding of hospitality. Rather than treating children as mere companions to their parents, Crockfords affords its younger guests their own sense of arrival and belonging.
The care extends into the evening, with a bespoke turndown service accompanied by nightly sweet treats—a charming final note to each day. For parents, it is precisely these details that make luxury feel effortless: the quiet assurance that the needs of every family member have been intuitively anticipated, allowing everyone to savour the stay in their own way.
A Journey Through Time: The Genting Guest Xperience Centre
During our stay, we visited the Genting Guest Xperience Centre, an interactive gallery spanning five thematic zones that offers a closer look at the story and evolution of Resorts World Genting. Tracing the destination’s journey from its ambitious beginnings to its global footprint today, the centre provides a captivating perspective on the resort—celebrating its rich heritage, milestones in development, and the iconic experiences that have shaped it over the decades.

Gastronomy at Altitude
EDEN by Crockfords
At EDEN by Crockfords, elegant surroundings set the scene for leisurely dining, from an international buffet breakfast to a refined afternoon tea.

Served with a choice of coffee or tea, the afternoon tea offers a delightful way to unwind and savour a leisurely afternoon.

FUHU
For a more vibrant expression of Asian cuisine, FUHU brings contemporary energy and a strong sense of place to the dining experience. Helmed by Chef Jimmy, whose career spans more than three decades in Chinese cuisine, the restaurant combines rich textures, ornate detailing, and dramatic lighting with a menu that places emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Its farm-to-table approach draws on produce from Pahang and the surrounding region, including Bentong ginger, mountain-grown Ying Yong vegetables, premium Patin fish, and Cameron Highlands dragon chives. A standout is the Steamed Patin Fish with Minced Bentong Ginger, where the delicate flavour of the fish is allowed to shine alongside the warmth and fragrance of one of Pahang’s most distinctive ingredients. It is a refined expression of regional identity — allowing the landscape beyond the windows to find its way onto the plate.
Crockfords Lounge
As twilight descends over the peaks, linger a little longer and raise a toast to the evening. At Crockfords Lounge, sip on a handcrafted signature cocktail where live melodies harmonise with the cool mountain breeze drifting through the windows. It is an elevated sanctuary designed for slow lingering, quiet conversation, and the effortless bliss of an evening well spent.

Where Luxury Feels Effortless
True luxury is rarely defined by grand gestures, but by the seamless art of ease. At Crockfords, every element—from intuitive 24-hour butler service and exquisitely appointed suites to bespoke family touches and curated dining—is crafted with quiet anticipation and absolute discretion. It is a sanctuary where couples find intimate solace, and families experience a rare harmony of warmth and sophistication.
Perched 6,000 feet above the ordinary, true luxury feels entirely second nature.
